À LA JANE

When it comes to dressing in jeans, I get inspired by plenty of people; Debbie Harry, Kate Moss, Mick Jagger... but the one person I find myself  looking up to whenever I choose to wear my old Levi's or my oversized jean jacket is Jane Birkin. So just in time for the end of the weekend, aiming to cure your Monday blues tomorrow, here is some inspiration on how to wear denim the cool & French way. Because really,  no one wears denim quite like Miss Jane.

KICKS ARE ALRIGHT

When Chanel showed their SS14 Haute Couture collection this January and I spotted those fabulous sparkly trainers on the runway, I started to look at athletic wear a whole lot differently. I have been on the hunt for a few pairs of '90s-style sneakers ever since, and it seems like I found the very first pair to start growing my collection. Whenever I wear my Reebok Classic Leather sneakers, I feel like I am in an old Chanel ad and since it doesn't look like I'll be owning a pair of their couture trainers anytime soon, I'm going to keep wearing these while pretending to be Linda Evangelista until a few thousand euros magically appear on my bank account.

PINK FLOYD

If you couldn't tell already, I really like black. And white. And gray. To be frank I just like neutral colors in general and with time I've come to despise wearing any shade that is not in the black-blue range. But you know, sometimes it takes a collaboration with Blondedge and a faux fur coat in pastel pink reminiscent of the Gucci AW14 collection to make you step out of your comfort zone.
